The solutions when finished laminated film cause some quality problems

Dry composite refers to a method in which the adhesive in the dry state is heated and melted, and use for laminating 2 or multiple layers .When do laminating ,   laminated film may appear a series of quality problems, here we list some of the quality problems that may occur  and the corresponding solutions for your reference.

Printed film roll

The laminated film has bubbles :

Bubbles appear because the composite layer is not completely fit, as well as the three causes and solutions

Cause of the problem

1 . The use time of the pressure roller is too long or the use of improper maintenance, will make the surface of the rubber roller local corrosion or damage, when the composite film through the composite roller, the corrosion or damage part is not affected by the pressure of the pressure roller, the formation of bubbles.

2. The solvent contains high content of active hydrogen, and the reaction emits carbon dioxide, forming bubbles.

3. When the coating amount is below a certain limit, dry composite film is also easy to form bubbles.

Solutions

1. Replace the press roller or repair.


2.Control the purity of solvent.


3. Clean or replace the coating roller.

Laminated film with Poor composite strength :

Bad composite strength refers to the low strength of the peel composite film, as well as the eight causes and solutions

Cause of the problem

1. The adhesive and its coating quantity is improperly selected or the ratio measurement is wrong.

2. The melting agent contains alcohol, water or hygroscopic base material contains more water, and the reaction of the main agent is not complete.

3. Insufficient coating quantity.

4.. Improper ripening conditions.

5. Improper drying and compound conditions (compound pressure, compound temperature).

6. Composite basic material surface tension is low.

7. Compound basic material additive precipitation (slippery agent, antistatic agent).

8. Poor plasticization or contamination of basic material surface.

Solutions

1. Re-select the adhesive and the amount of coating, accurate preparation.

2. Control the content of solvent water and alcohol.

3. Improve the coating amount (or replace and clean the coating roll).

4. Check whether the coating roller works normally.

5. Replace the adhesive. Adhesives should be used along with, strictly control the use of residual adhesives.

6. Composite basic material surface treatment.

7. Control the ripening temperature and time to inhibit the release of smooth agent.

8. Replace the material.

The finished laminated film is smelly. :

Cause of the problem

1. Printing ink itself has problems or residual solvents are too high.

 

2. When the film manufacturer produces the substrate, it adds some odorant additives. After the dry compound, the additives gradually leak out and cause peculiar smell.

 

3. Peculiar smell of the film itself (oxidation odor of PE, odor of EVA itself, etc.).

Solutions

1. Replace printing ink and strictly control printing quality.

 

2. Adjust the temperature, inlet air volume, exhaust air volume and speed of the drying oven.

 

3. Replace the basic materials.
