What’s the function of roll to roll slitting machine ?
The roll to roll slitting machine use for slit wide material roll into several narrow rolls . It widely used in many different field . Usually for slitting different material ,the slitting machine will be little different . For example , follows 3 different material :
plastic film Roll
If slitting normal plastic film ,such as Bopp , PET , CPP , PVC ,etc , our KTSM-B series plastic film slitting machine can slit it . If you need get roll width less than 50mm ,or your material is special , welcome to contact us . we also have machine which special for small width roll slitting .
Paper Roll
If slitting kraft paper , or laminated paper or PE coated paper , paper roll for paper cup making etc , our KTSM-BS or KTSM-C series paper roll slitting machine can slit it . If you need get roll width less than 50mm ,or your paper thickness is very thin , welcome to contact us . we will offer suitable machine for you soon .
Pure Aluminum Foil
If slitting pure aluminum foil roll , other foil roll or lamianted aluminum foil roll etc , our KTSM-C series surface slitting machine can slit it . Please note that our machines use for slitting aluminum foil roll which use for flexible packing making . It can’t slit too thick aluminum foil .

Unwind Unit -Lift material way
Hydraulically controlled shaftless unit
- With shaftless unwind roll —no need air shaft , you can put material roll on the unwind unit directly . And whather you adopt material roll with 3 inch or 6 inch paper core , it all workable . No need change any part .
- With hydraulic control auto loading function — This function can lift up material roll automatically into feeding position . And hydraulic control can support more heavy material roll than pnumatic one .
Pnumatic controlled unwind unit with air shaft
- With air shaft to support material roll —standard machine with 3 inch air cylinder . If you need unwind 6 inch paper core , you need buy addtional 6 inch air shaft more .
- With pnumatic control auto loading function — This function can lift up material roll automatically into feeding position by pnumatic control .
Manual loading unwind
- Under with one piece 3 inch air shaft .
- The material roll shall be lift up to feeding position by manpower .
Unwind Unit -Tension control Way
Magnetic powder brake
- Suitable for most of all machines .
- After the magnetic powder is used up, the magnetic powder should be added in time or the whole magnetic powder brake should be replaced.
Pneumatic brake
- Suitable for most of all machines ,especial the paper roll which is heavy .
- After a period of use, the brake pads wear out and need to be replaced in time
Motor control Brake
- Suitable for most of all material .
- The control is more accurate than others
- The disadvantage: Once the power goes out the tension is gone. It can’t keep tension as above 2 type .
Slitting part
Flat Slitting knifes
- Mainly suitable for plastic film ,non woven fabric ,etc .
Normal Circle Slitting knifes
- Mainly suitable for thicker material , such as laminated material , paper , laminated paper , non woven fabric, aluminum foil ,etc .
Pnumatic Control Circle Slitting knifes
- Mainly suitable for thicker material , such as laminated material , paper , laminated paper , non woven fabric, aluminum foil ,etc .
- It can save blade adjustment time.After cutting, the edge of the material is more smooth and beautiful
Rewind part
Double Rewind with slip shaft
- Mostly use for slitting plastic film roll .
- The slip axis can keep the speed of each small roll consistent, and the principle of sliding friction can better solve the problem of different tension sizes when the width of the material is different. When the material thickness is not equal, the tension caused by the problem can also be well solved.
- When you need adopt 6 inch paper core , you need buy additional 6 inch slip shaft sleeve.
Double Rewind with Air shaft
- Suitable for most material roll rewind
- If you need adopt 6 inch paper core , you need buy additional 6 inch air shaft .
Back to back rewind (double rewind )
- Suitable for material which is easily stretched or thin material , or need slittin very narrow roll ,such as 3mm ,10mm ,etc .
- This struction can’t rewind big diamter roll . Usually it rewind max. 420mm diamter or 600mm diamter ( high speed ) .
- If you need adopt 6 inch paper core , you need buy additional 6 inch air shaft .
